1. Schedule of Events - Saturday, October 19th  

11:30am to 3:30- 4:00pm Golf Tournament. We will want most groups to finish together.

2:00pm - 4:00pm Cornhole Tournament - Front House lawn . Teams of 2, single elimination.

5:00pm – Happy Hour & Silent Auction, OX house - alcohol provided. Come bid on some excellent gifts and items to take home.

6:00pm – Dinner, OX house -  Get a chance to meet current actives and tour the renovated house.. Food and alcohol provided.

2. Golf Tournament - Saturday, October 19th

Tee time start - 11:30am. You can arrive early for putting or driving practice.

Cost $110 per person. This includes green fees, two man cart rental, small bucket of ranges balls and donation to the alumni corp. Food and drink can be purchased separately.

Format will be best ball hit and possible shotgun start if we have enough players. Prizes will be awarded for best score, closest to the pin and maybe highest score.

Caddyshack attire HIGHLY encouraged.

Alumni, come help the active chapter finish fixing the house up in preparation for fall rush. With the recent improvements to the house, this could be one of the strongest rushes yet!

Date: Saturday, September 28th

Time: 10AM - 4PM

Location: 501 Russell Boulevard, Davis, CA 95616

There is still much to do and we can use all the manpower we can get. If you can join us, please bring any tools you have listed in the tools needed sections. If you cannot joins us, feel free to donate funds for the supplies needed.

This is the list the actives want done. The goal is to have all the supplies and tools needed to get the job done during the workday.

1. Fix eastern side gate. Hole on the left side of the fence needs to be drilled deeper into the concrete before reinstalling metal rod

Supplies needed: lumber, lag bolts, new hinges

Tools needed: Drills, screwdrivers, concrete and metal drill bits.

2. New door for upstairs bathroom and social closet

Supplies needed: New doors to be hung, wood screws, hinges

Tools needed: Power drills or power screwdriver,

3. Lawn Care (mowing, trash pickup, hedges, weeding)

Supplies needed:  large trash bags

Tools needed: hedge trimmers, lawn edger, lawn mower ( house has one, a 2nd would help), weed killer sprayer,

4. Hang house composites

Supplies needed: metal screws, with plastic inserts for drywall.

Tools needed: Power drills or power screwdriver, level

5. Paint: interior stairs need red paint as do exterior stairs leading to dance floors

Supplies needed: paint

Tools needed: paint trays, paint brushes,

6. Scrub floor boards

Supplies needed: Magic Eraser, paper towels, scratchy sponges

Tools needed: elbow grease, mop,

7. Spread gravel / mulch

Supplies needed: weed fabric, weed fabric nails, gravel

Tools needed: shovel, wheelbarrow(s), hammer

8. Stairs: fix loose wood on banister, paint banister

Supplies needed:  paint, wood screws, wood glue

Tools needed: hand screwdrivers, power screwdriver, wood clamps

Time to get the house ready for the summer improvements!! We are doing major work this summer on the back house and need some effort to prep the back house.

Special appearance from Eric Tennyson, alumni president. He promises pizza and beer!

Our Parent's Weekend tailgate is coming up! Saturday November 4 at 12 pm. We have space reserved at Lot 53. Bbq. Keg. Full bar. For the early birds: donuts and mimosas at the chapter house before the tailgate starts.

Details: 

1. $20 parking passes are available at the chapter house at 501 Russell Boulevard. We will valet you to/from our tailgate. Passes are first come first serve day of, via cash or Venmo.

2. We have organized a raffle. We would really appreciate any available gift donations, akin to the silent auction. The proceeds will go towards the food and alcohol costs and extra will go to the USO and to house improvements.

The Davis Theta Chi chapter and its Board of Directors will be hosting our first alumni golf tournament this Fall. All alumni brothers in good standing are encouraged to attend. Please RSVP with your event registration fee as soon as possible - all details are below!
